Digital platform
Good Practices at School Award
The request was a page. The problem was getting a national award off the ground.
Project delivered in 2026
The challenge
In 2026, Media Clorians designed and built the platform for Editora Moderna's Good Practices at School Award (Prêmio Boas Práticas na Escola): an accessible public website and a judging system for a national award aimed at public school teachers and coordinators, themed Inclusive Education. From kickoff in late April to the opening of entries on July 1, it took just over two months.
The request was a promotional page with a form. But we had been running the Sustainable Schools Award for Fundação Santillana, from the same group, for three years, and we knew a whole process sat behind an award: entries, criteria, judges, scores, tiebreakers, finalists and communications at the right time. Everything had to run on Santillana's corporate infrastructure, with LGPD (Brazil's data protection law) compliance and accessibility. In an award about inclusion, accessibility could not be a last-minute fix.
What we did
We designed the process before the screens and split the project into two layers. The public layer was built so teachers could learn about the award, read the rules and move on to entry, with accessibility as a requirement from the first layout. In the admin layer, Moderna took charge of the cycle: importing projects from the external entry platform, assigning evaluations, applying the criteria matrix, consolidating scores, breaking ties and choosing finalists and winners, with automatic emails at every stage.
It was our first deployment on Santillana's technical pipeline. The first weeks went into understanding its environments and publishing rules before defining the architecture.
Results
The platform went live on July 1, as scheduled, and supports the award's full cycle, from entry to the choice of winners. The project also left an asset for the group: the next job in Santillana's environment will start with a pipeline we already know.
Deliverables
- design, UI and UX for the public site and the admin panel;
- architecture, database and development of the judging system;
- integration and processing of data from the external entry platform;
- judge assignment, criteria matrix, ranking and tiebreakers;
- automatic emails throughout the cycle;
- accessibility and LGPD compliance;
- adaptation to Santillana's environments and deployment pipeline.
